Christmas thoughts

Today I'm going to debate whether I like this humat Christmas holiday period or not...I'm not quite sure yet whether I like it or strongly dislike it...I know it is a humat holiday and humats tend to go crazy and overdoing things over these days but I'm not quite sure yet if it this is actually a really a good time for us, kitties too!

I mean on one hand there is a lot of food around which we can also share and being very 'jolly' as humats will make cakes, sweets and dinners in huge amounts and portions like they are going to feed a humat army or the entire country's cat population but on the other hand they tend to spend too much time ignoring us and making the house cat unfriendly and coming up with new house rules and stopping us from doing things that we will normally do any other time of the year...

For example trees indoors it is not always a good idea as it might at first appears as the tree is not cat friendly either, very prickly and not ideal scratching post and then there is its decoration which humats don't want you to play with along or even look at, along with those lights which they turn to make the humats freak out every time we go near to have a look..

The only words I can keep hearing the past few days since the indoors tree appeared are: 'xoo or shoo (depending on your origin), stay away,' and 'don't go there' , 'bad kitty!', etc. I mean I don't try to do anything else than what I would normally do under the same circumstances...being a kitty who has to be in control of her entire house!

So as you see I'm not quite sure yet whether I like or not Christmas, maybe they should at least change its name to something more appropriate to include us, kitties, in the festive celebrations I don't know something in the terms of Meoowwtide or Purrsmas and a Happy Meow Year....well I think you are getting the idea....

Anyway back to whether I like Christmas or not...you see despite all these new rules that humats are inventing for the period of Purr(x)mas at the same time there is the positive side of all this fuss...all these available at paw's reach food that makes my belly sing and which seem to influence my decision in favour of this strange humat holiday....You see all this cooking and baking makes the house smells soooo nice and makes my belly very very happy...yeap I definitely like Xmas and that's a final decision...now if only I could make that tree area more cat friendly...

When next door kitties taking the p**s!!

No, no she doesn't look cute!

You know it has being a while since I've written anything in my blog....the reason being that I'm after all a very very busy kitty with little time to spare...well, OK, perhaps because my humat is far too busy herself and she doesn't let me use her laptop (although she has two...) for socializing, which is really unfair as she now can even type from her phone if she is on the go....there is time for everything you know I keep telling her but she doesn't seem to listen...hmmm humats!

Anyway today since I've got the chance I've decided that I should put down in humat words some of my thoughts...For the past few days next door's cat, Dora is taking a lot of liberties and she is keep coming and staying indoors...she is using my home like her own home and I don't like it a bit. My humats say that she is really pretty and they feel sorry for her when she stands outside in the garden with her paw at the back door's glass but I don't purrsonally fall for such cunningness or cuteness....You see I know that it is all an act, a good trick, a very well planned and executed plan to make my humats fell to her little trap by feeling sorry for her and not only feed her but also allow her to come indoors and spend hours snoozing on the sofa or even on the big chair and sometimes in my boxes....this will not do...She has her own home which she might share with two other cats (like I do actually) and two humats (like I also do, my servants) and a tiny humat who makes a lot of crying noise (worse than a kitten which thankfully I don't have into my home....hmmm I can now start understanding the reason...) ...Anyway this is not a good excuse for her to want to spend a lot of time in my home and to get lots of attention from my humat....I don't mind her eating what my humats are giving her (as long as of course they don't give her part of my food, she can have the other two's food ...see if I care...) but I don't want her to keep coming in even if it is raining or snowing outside or even if she is only sitting and sleeping in Choo's favourite chair....it is a matter of principle you see...this is my home not hers.

Having say that I'm not sure on the other hand what I can do to convince my humats to stop her from coming in (the moment the back door opens she is inside faster than the speed of light...no time to even try to stop her) but you can be assure that I'm working on it...on my own cunning plan and soon I will be able to convince them not to let her in anymore and that cute feel sorry for me look will stop working on them...very soon! Meooowww!

Tuesdays thoughts!

Sleepy kitty wants reassurance from her humat!

I haven't blogged for a while because my humat has being busy and she won't allow anybody else to use the laptop and also because it seems that I'm suffering from blogger's block...and currently I tend to procrastinate a lot...But I thought I type down a few words to express my purrsonally opinion on a purrticular matter...You see my humat advises other humats (as you probably already know) on how to modify their kitties behaviours, behaviours which they think are not proper and which they need to modify (of course the issue that arises here is what behaviours they think that they are not normal for a kitty in her environment and most importantly what do they know about cat behaviour because they are not cats after all...I must stop now because I'm starting getting annoyed...). One of the 'problems' that humats often ask for advice is when us kitties are meowing (usually at night of course) for attention. My humat and despite the fact that she says that she knows and understands us kitties well, advises them that in such situations we need to be ignored if we are not meowing because we are not feeling well. She saiz that if humats ignore us eventually we stop because we will figure out that we are not getting what we want....I sayz, NO, NO, NO! You humats, can't ignore us when we meow because we wantz you to come and check on us, to talk to us and reassure us that everything is OK with the world. This is why you are here humats to serve us and to look after us, you can't ignore us...I mean that would be disastrous...I can't think of a worse case scenario of being not reassured after I have woken up from one of my occasional nightmares or not being acknowledged from my humat, when I meow to her and him so they can play with me and give me attention....no, no no humats do not ignore us...pleazeeee....purrs, purrs, purrs!!

Kitty busy

Newest hiding place for the moment!

I haven't updated my blog for a while because of my humat...you see when humat is busy I get busy too because I had to help her (either by being helpful and cute to relive stress or by helping her to come up with the right answers to cat related issues...). Because let's face it we are the intelligent species here and not the humats...they think they are but we know better... Another thing that also contributes to me being rather busy is this humat tendency to get pre-occupied with silly and unnecessary toys as unfortunately humats can get overexcited when it comes to new gadgets and toys and they will forget important things like feeding and giving us attention...New phones, computers, cameras, noisy players, etc would take often priority over us for a while of course, till they get bored with them and remember that us kitties are still around and can also be a lot of fun (especially when they are treats involved too...) or they want to take 'funny' photos of us with their new toys....hmmm...not peace and quiet then and not hiding place to be found either, grrr!

Anyway back to more important things now, like myself...you see when the weather changes and it gets colder i my house, we all try to rediscover our old warmer places from last year and it is always becomes a race of who will get to the warmest spot first...especially when the heating is on as well...Places closest to the radiator all of the sudden become very popular and you will never see the same kitty in the same place for very long...you see in my home if you get up from your spot to have some munchies or to visit the box then you definitely will lose your favourite snoozing spot....this of course doesn't apply to cats only but too the humats too...and the battle of the warmest spot has already begun in our home now...Of course this year we also have Dora from next door as well who she is also competing for the warmest spot in our house too as it soon the back door opens she will come in and she will make herself comfortable on our sofa downstairs...like she is a resident in our home...grrr! Anyway it is always fun having to steal somebody's else snoozing spot especially for me since I never really lose or being challenged....meeoowww!

Photos and hiding places

Oh humat can't be asked to pose right now!

What is with humats and taking photos...you can't find peace and quiet...especially when they've got a new gadget which also happens to takes photos. My humat every-time she gets a new phone-camera or any other gadget with a camera included she won't stop taking photos of me for days, she will hunt me everywhere...well it is nice to be appreciated of course and especially by your own  humats who serve you but in truth I'd rather prefer if she could show her appreciation of my uniqueness and prettiness with a nice tasty treat instead! It is not just that she takes a lots of photos, and not all of them are presenting me as pretty as I really am, but she has also to find me even when I don't want to be found...a snoozing pussykitty isn't always at her best to at least an humat audience...At least if she was offering a little treat every time she takes a photo I might change my opinion a bit...I know I'm pretty and my admirers want to see me as I really am but let's not overdo it...you wouldn't like it humat if I was following you everywhere with a camera would you now? Meoowwws!

My new hiding place well from the others

I was trying posting from my humat's phone but you get a lot of unnecessary blah blah with it...not very good really! Anyway humats were really busy yesterday so I was trying to find a new hiding spot...impossible really when humats are around all the time and they want to know everything you do or you don't do. Humats are so curious really, worse than pussukitties I thinkz. Anyway my favourite humat still works on her survey so I anybody out there who might have humats and are interested in taking part then here are the details and info: http://www.daily-meowing.com/pet_survey.htm

Now I must go and find another hiding place

My humat's survey

See not that big...I can fit perfectly on little table!

My humat is currently very busy with her survey on the relationships that us kitties (and yak dogs..) have today with our humats and she spends a lot of time on the phone or on her laptop working. I'm trying to be a considered and understanding kitty and give her space and not bother her too much (but I do need to stick to my feeding schedule) and also by helping...talking when she is on the phone to humats to let them know my opinion on the matter (although my humat doesn't seem to be pleased when I interfere...but you see I'm a kitty with strong opinions who likes to be heard...) but I will be happy when she finally finishes. She needs apparently a lot more humats to take part (they must live in UK so if your humat lives in UK ask him/her to take part, the details are on the side...It will help my humat, meowself and all the kitties and pesky dogs as well as the research will try to understand what type of relationships we pets have with our humats and why...) so she will spend a lots more time on the phone which means that I will be getting  a lot less attention for a while than normal...which has started I must admit to bother me a bit...I love attention and petting and playing with my humat all the time so I'm not that happy right now but as I said I have being very patient and understanding...Let's hope that more humats take part so she can finish sooner...now I need to have a little break and search for some available treats around...purrs!
